Equity Audit: School for Integrated Academics & Technologies
The equity audit process included engagement with the executive leadership team about the efforts of the diversity, equity, and inclusion steering committee and the data team to examine the information the organization collects. In addition to that, a focus group meeting with students, the school board, and statistical analysis of provided school data gave valuable insights.
The data helped to define the profile of a successful SIATech student which led to recommendations that we believe will elevate the organization to be culturally responsive, inclusive, and dynamic with diverse populations.
Findings from the Equity Audit are structured into four areas of concentration with a total of eight recommendations. The four critical areas are:
-
Policy
-
Professional Development
-
Progress Monitoring
-
Partnerships
